Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project
Possum Valley Municipal Authority in Adams County, Pennsylvania is hereby providing notice that it is seeking approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for a Categorical Exclusion for its upcoming project located at the wastewater treatment plant. The project involves the demolition of the existing wastewater treatment plant and the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant. The work is located entirely within the existing treatment plant site and is not anticipated to create a significant impact on human or natural environment.

The project is tentatively scheduled to begin in Spring 2027 and last for one year at a cost of $9.0 million. The Authority is seeking to fund the project through a low interest loan from PENNVEST along with other grant opportunities.
The public is invited to review the contract drawings and documents at the Possum Valley Municipal Building, 609 Clearview Road, Aspers, PA 17304 during normal business hours (M-F 6:00-3:00). The public may submit comments on the proposed project, which must be sent to the Authority in writing within 30 days of the publication of this notice.
